Pursuing EE as a hobby

A few years back as a sophomore, my google history had questions like, What to do to be a good electrical engineer?

How to understand concepts and apply in real life, etc.

In a way, sarcastically I never got a good glass of answer. But with time I’m filling up.

I’ve got a few leads that helped me improve me during engineering days.

Firstly, do read, read a lot, read like a mad person! Cause EE has its dots spread all over and to connect them innovatively you need to read buddy!

Secondly, look out for mathematics, concepts are just words without mathematics to back up. Be it any field you like, mathematics would be sitting either in an outer or inner circle.

Third, don’t stick to one software for years, at least try to understand which one’s good for which work. Look beyond academics, there are students all over the globe working on fantastic tech!

Fourth, don’t miss reading old & new research papers at least once a week. (If you don’t have any access then knock on your library’s door)

Fifth, if you ever feel saturated then that’s an EE mirage, believe me, you’ll never get saturated with EE concepts!

Lastly, the Myth for EE students is that there are no competitions other than a few well-known ones, buddy there are many, just a few search away.
